Earlier this month, I took my Gamecube (and corresponding cables) out of its storage box, connected it, put the disc of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door in it, and pushed the POWER button.
Less than a minute later, I started playing.
It was fast! Other than the initial setup, it was kinda strange not having to wait for the game to install, nor search for the game icon in a Home Screen, then pressing A over it. After a couple of hours of playing (and saving, of course), I just pressed the POWER button again, without having to open a menu and select the Standby Mode.
